Resident Ava Silvestri Chosen as Finalist for Scholarship Award

Borough resident Ava Silvestri was chosen by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities as a State Finalist in the 31st Annual Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition. This statewide scholarship competition centered on the theme “What I Like About My Hometown" and seeks to advance the virtues of elected and volunteer members of the municipal government. Ava was presented with a Certificate by Mayor Charles Kahwaty at the May 20 meeting of the Mayor and Council, and Ava read her essay. Photo Album.
