Operation Toy Train/Toys for Tots

Operation Toy Train made a special stop in Franklin Lakes! Through the leadership of the Franklin Lakes Girl Scouts and the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, our community came together to donate an incredible 424 brand-new toys for children in need.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous partners who served as collection locations: FAMS PLC, FAMS, CRS, HMR, WAS, the Franklin Lakes Fire Department, Borough Hall, and Sunrise Senior Living. Your support made this effort possible.

This year, the Franklin Lakes Fire Department collected toys at their children’s party with Santa and arrived in full force with their trucks, while our Police Department also joined in to support the event. We are grateful for the teamwork and community spirit shown and look forward to involving even more departments and additional collection locations next year. View photos from the event. View video of the train and Santa.
