Franklin Lakes Fire Official Rescues Englewood Resident from Fire

Brian Comitto, long-time member of the Franklin Lakes Fire Department, works as a paid firefighter for the City of Englewood. In addition, he works for the Borough of Franklin Lakes as its Fire Official.  In that capacity, Brian is responsible for the enforcement of the Fire Code in Borough buildings and structures. Recently, Brian responded to a house fire in Englewood and rescued a resident from a second floor window. See article on this life-saving rescue in NJ.com by clicking here. In commenting on the rescue, though appreciative of the recognition that he has received for his actions, Brian chooses to focus on the efforts of his firefighting team:

“It needs to be emphasized that I was just one piece of the puzzle. It was the collective efforts of all those who responded to the emergency that resulted in the successful outcome. Each individual had a specific job that night, which played a pivotal role in the overall success of the operation. The efforts displayed were the epitome of teamwork.”

Brian is to be commended for his selfless actions and his commitment to helping others.
