From the Recycling Coordinator - Bulk Waste Curbside Collection

Starts Next Week on Thursday, February 2, 2023

The Borough of Franklin Lakes has instituted a new separate curbside collection for bulk waste that will begin on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Bulk Waste includes residential wooden furniture, mattresses, carpets, toilets, and decorations. These items will not be collected at the same time as regular garbage collection.

Bulk waste will be collected the first and third Thursday of every month. Residents must request a pick up in advance to be added to the bulk collection list. Collection requests forms can be completed online at www.franklinlakes.org/bulkwaste. The form needs to be submitted no later than 10:00 AM the day before the scheduled date of collection. A maximum of three bulk items per collection.

Items such as furniture, mattresses, mirrors, tables, carpet, and decorations are items that will be collected curbside. A detail list is available on the website.
