Borough Reaches Agreement with Franklin Lakes PBA Local 150
On September 9, 2024, the Mayor and Council approved a resolution ratifying the Memorandum of Agreement between the Borough and Franklin Lakes PBA Local 150 for a new collective bargaining agreement for the years 2024 through 2027. PBA Local 150 represents 25 members of the Borough’s Police Department. The Memorandum of Agreement memorializes an amicable settlement of all matters between the Borough and PBA Local 150.
Mayor Charlie Kahwaty explained that he was "gratified that an amicable resolution of some very difficult financial issues was reached as a result of extensive negotiations between the parties through their counsel. The agreement reflects a fair and just compensation package to members of our Police Department, while preserving the fiscal integrity of the Borough’s budget, which is of paramount concern to our resident taxpayers."
