National Health Care Decisions Day - April 16, 2024
From the Community Director
Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16th of each year. The day exists to raise awareness around the importance of having conversations and planning if you have a serious illness or medical emergency and can’t speak for yourself about your preferences for life-sustaining care. The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute (NJHCQI) has put together a list of upcoming events and programs to share with the Mayors Wellness Campaign and individuals who would like to learn more about Conversation of Your Life (COYL) programs. COYL provides free education, support, and resources to help you and those who matter most to you make decisions about the type of care you would want in a medical emergency or serious illness. Check the calendar to see upcoming in-person and virtual events where you can learn more or get help. Calendar of events: COYL upcoming events.
Please email drobinson@franklinlakes.org if there is a COYL event or program you would like to see take place in Franklin Lakes. To learn more about, visit COYL - For Individuals - NJHCQI.
