Annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony

On Monday, December 11, the Borough of Franklin Lakes hosted a town-wide Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Chabad Jewish Center in Franklin Lakes. The celebration was centered around the lighting of the Borough Menorah by Rabbi Kaplan and Mayor Charles J. X. Kahwaty. The children enjoyed a parachute "dreidel-drop" from the Franklin Lakes Fire Department ladder truck. There were costumed mascots, light-up transformer, crafts and traditional holiday refreshments including potato latkes, hot chocolate, donuts and chocolate gelt!
