Annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Borough Hall
From the Community Director
Celebrated on Sunday, December 18
On Sunday, December 18, a ‘Menorahcade’ consisting of dozens of cars decked out with electric rooftop Menorahs arrived at the Franklin Lakes Borough Hall for the annual town-wide Chanukah Menorah Lighting, sponsored by the Chabad Jewish Center in Franklin Lakes. The celebration was centered around the lighting of the Borough Menorah by the Mayor and Rabbi Kaplan. The children enjoyed a parachute ‘dreidel-drop’ from the Franklin Lakes Fire Department ladder truck. There were costumed mascots, light-up giveaways, crafts and traditional holiday refreshments including potato latkes, hot chocolate, donuts and chocolate gelt! Thank you all for coming and participating in this year’s ceremony. Click here to enjoy photography’s by Dick Stanton.
