From the Police Department
The Franklin Lakes Police Department was recently alerted by a resident who received an e-mail petition/solicitation (
click here to view) from the US Deputy Sheriff’s Association claiming to represent Franklin Lakes. While the US Deputy Sheriff’s Association is a registered 501(3)(c) charity organization, we just wanted to make our residents aware that this association is in no way affiliated with the Franklin Lakes Police Department nor the Franklin Lakes Policeman’s Benevolent Association. There are also many other organizations/associations that solicit our residents via mail, e-mail and phone. Be aware that the Franklin Lakes Police Department will never solicit our residents. The Franklin Lakes Policeman’s Benevolent Association only sends out fundraising envelops and will not contact any resident via phone, e-mail or engage in door to door soliciting. Thank you.
