Franklin Lakes History & Memories
Thursday, August 6 - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Franklin Lakes Public Library
Come join fellow residents for an evening dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of Franklin Lakes.
Whether you've lived in Franklin Lakes your entire life or recently moved here, everyone is welcome. This gathering is an opportunity to share stories, view historic photographs, discover interesting facts about our town, and meet neighbors who appreciate the rich history of our community.
During the evening, we'll enjoy a slideshow featuring photographs, newspaper clippings, postcards, and other historical items contributed by residents. Everyone is encouraged to participate, ask questions, and share memories. If you would like, we hope you'll stand up and spend a few minutes telling the story behind a favorite photograph or memory.
Do you have old photographs, home movies, newspaper clippings, postcards, or videos of Franklin Lakes that you would like to share? If so, please email them to Joan Morely. Refreshments and light snacks will be served, but if you would like to bring additional refreshments or snacks, you are welcome to do so.
We would like to make the Franklin Lakes History & Memories Gathering a quarterly tradition, with the possibility of hosting a special holiday edition each year to celebrate seasonal memories and traditions.
Together, we can preserve the stories, photographs, and memories that make Franklin Lakes such a special place to call home. Registration is required. Link
