Annual Clean Up Day
From Environmental Commission
On Saturday, May 2nd, the Franklin Lakes Environmental Commission proudly hosted another successful “Pride in Franklin Lakes is Picking Up” Community Clean-Up Day. With beautiful spring weather setting the stage, over 50 dedicated students and residents came together to help keep our community clean, green, and thriving.
Volunteers focused their efforts around McBride Field, working through wooded areas and along nearby roadways to collect litter and recyclables. Their hard work made an immediate and visible impact—once again showcasing the pride our residents take in maintaining the beauty of Franklin Lakes.
Students were recognized for their efforts with community service hours and homework passes, a small but meaningful reward for their commitment to environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.
We extend our sincere thanks to our Environmental Commission volunteers, Dina Robinson and the Recreation Department, and our hardworking Franklin Lakes Department of Public Works for their continued support in organizing and executing this event. Their behind-the-scenes efforts ensure everything runs smoothly year after year.
Events like this are a reminder that keeping Franklin Lakes beautiful is truly a community effort. As we head into the busy spring and summer seasons, we encourage all residents to continue taking pride in our Borough and doing their part to keep it clean.
Together, we make a difference. View Photo Album.
