Ramadan Lighting Ceremony

Borough Hall Council Chambers

Thursday, February 12, 6:00PM

Please join the American Muslims of Franklin Lakes, Muslim Chaplain Moutaz Charaf (Imam of El-Zahra Islamic Center), along with the Mayor and Borough Council, for our Sixth Annual Ramadan Lighting Ceremony.

Ramadan is a sacred time observed by Muslims in the United States and around the world. It is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is dedicated to fasting, reflection, prayer, and acts of compassion and charity. From dawn to sunset, practicing Muslims abstain from food and drink, focusing on spiritual growth and community.

Help us commemorate this special occasion as we light Borough Hall with green and white lights in honor of Ramadan.
