What to do if I have a fallen tree down in my yard or I'd like to clear trees on my property?

  • Contact the Shade Tree Commission in Borough Hall at 201-891-4000, Ext. 1221 for inspection and any necessary permits or Borough approval.
  • Trees down on a property are the PROPERTY OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY to clear and get rid of. 
  • The Borough is NOT responsible for moving/disposing residents' trees; if necessary, landscapers or other outside third parties should be contacted.
