May Is National Stroke Awareness Month
From the Board of Health
When it comes to stroke, every minute counts. Acting F.A.S.T. can help stroke patients get the treatments they need to survive and reduce damage to the brain. According to CDC, more than 3 out of 5 people are aware of all major stroke symptoms and know to call 9-1-1 when someone is having a stroke. There's more work to do-let's make it 5 out of 5!
This May, encourage your followers to know the signs and symptoms of stroke so they can take quick action and perhaps save a life. Additional information is available at www.cdc.gov/stroke.
