From the Police Department - New Patrol Officers Sworn In

 

At the Mayor and Council meeting on Tuesday, October 20, three new patrol officers were appointed to the Police Department.  This was followed by a swearing in ceremony the next day.  With the anticipated retirement of two veteran members of the Department in the coming months, the Mayor and Council approved the new hires.  The new hires are as follows:

• Matthew Garrison - Patrol Officer Garrison is a recent graduate of the Morris County Police Academy (Alternate Route Program) and Fairleigh Dickinson University (B.S. in Criminal Justice).  He is transferring from the Hanover Township Police Department.
• Stephanie Hallihan - Patrol Officer Hallihan is a recent graduate of the Passaic County Police Academy (Alternate Route Program) and John Jay College of Criminal Justice (B.S. in Criminal Justice).  She is transferring from the Westwood Police Department.
• Kevin Shutrop - Patrol Officer Shutrop is a graduate of the Monmouth County Police Academy and Minnesota State University (B.S. in Automotive Engineering Technology).  He is transferring from the Rutgers University Police Department.
