Mayor Wellness Campaign

The Mayors Wellness Campaign coordinates programs throughout the year that are designed to promote healthy activities and well-being in the Franklin Lakes community. The goal of this campaign is to increase opportunities for residents of all age groups, from youth to seniors, to participate in physical activity with a long-term goal of improving health.

Start your Sunday mornings surrounded by nature with SUP (Stand Up Paddle) Yoga at the beautiful G. Thomas Donch Nature Preserve!

The Franklin Lakes Mayors Wellness Campaign is excited to welcome back Yogini Keri (Keri Elkin), Certified Yoga Instructor, for another season of Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga. SUP Yoga combines Hatha and Vinyasa yoga on a paddleboard, offering a fun and unique way to improve your balance, strength, flexibility, core stability, and endurance while enjoying the peaceful beauty of the Preserve. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced paddler, SUP Yoga is a wonderful way to relax, recharge, and enjoy one of Franklin Lakes' greatest natural treasures.

Pricing

  • $55 – Pre-paid & Pre-Registered (Includes paddleboard, anchor, guided class, life vests, and 15 minutes of free paddle time.)
  • $60 – Day of Class (Space permitting.)
  • $40 – Bring Your Own Paddleboard & Anchor

SUP YOGA REGISTRATION – Mandatory. Participants who have not pre-registered and paid in full are not guaranteed a paddleboard as boards are limited.

Please make checks payable to Borough of Franklin Lakes (1 Vichiconti Way, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417) and write SUP Yoga (Class Date) in the memo.

Franklin Lakes named a "2023 Healthy Town"

 The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute announced that seventeen municipalities have been designated as a “2023 Healthy Town,” including Franklin Lakes, as part of its Mayors Wellness Campaign (“MWC”), a program of the Quality Institute in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities.
