Overnight Parking

Overnight parking in the Borough is subject to approval by the Franklin Lakes Police Department (Borough Codes 470-6, 470-7, 470-38, 470-39, and 470-40).

  • All parking requests need to be received online by 1:30 AM. Any submissions received after 1:30 AM will not be acknowledged and denied by default.
  • A maximum three (3) days of parking at a time is allowed per submission.
  • Requests are considered approved unless you are notified by the Police Department by 1:30 AM.
  • To allow for passage of emergency vehicles, ALL vehicles must be parked on the same side of the street if multiple vehicles request overnight parking.
  • Remove any belongings from your vehicle, take your car keys, and lock your vehicle at all times.

Restrictions apply to overnight parking as outlined on the above reference Borough codes. There is no parking allowed on any county road within the Borough of Franklin Lakes.
