Franklin Lakes Commuter Parking Lot at Parsons Pond Park - Parking Permits
The main bus stop in Franklin Lakes is located at Parsons Pond Road. A parking permit is required for all vehicles parked in the lot Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Overnight parking is prohibited.

How to Apply
New to SDL? Create an account first:
- Visit sdl.town/FranklinLakes and click sign up
- Enter Franklin Lakes Borough as your primary town
- Click the activation link sent to your email
Once your account is active:
- Select Parking Permit and complete the application with vehicle and applicant information
- Upload your vehicle registration
- Residents: Upload a utility bill as proof of residency
- Submit your request and await approval
Payment Options
Once you receive your invoice:
- Online: Credit card or e-check via SDL portal. (convenience fees: $3.00 credit card, $1.50 e-checks)
- By Mail: Check payable to Borough of Franklin Lakes, ATTN: Commuter Parking, 480 DeKorte Drive, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417
- In Person: Borough Clerk's office, weekdays 8:30 AM-4:00 PM. (Check or credit card only)
- Renewal stickers will be mailed or issued in person.
Fees
- Permits valid January 1-December 31, transferable to other registered vehicles
- Residents $50 | Non-Resident $310 | Replacement Tag $10
- Cash not accepted
Parking Restrictions
- The issuance of a parking tag does not guarantee that a parking space will be available
- Tags shall be issued on a first-come-first-served basis. No more than 40 non-resident parking permits will be issued.
- Overnight parking is prohibited.
- Between 6 AM and 2 PM, Monday through Friday, parking is permitted only by persons possessing and displaying a current parking tag.
- Display tag on rearview mirror with number facing out when in lot.
- The deadline for renewals is December 31.
